We are seeking a part time to full time associate to work in our growing wine and tapas bar.  The ideal candidate has a passion/enthusiasm for wine with an out-going, self-motivated and energetic personality.  Strong restaurant, customer service and sales skills are preferred.  With multiple tasting experiences, our candidate must be versatile in their approach, willing and able to adapt to different levels of experience and consumer knowledge whether they are with large or small groups, wine consumers or the novice.  They must also be able to wear the many different hats required to be successful in a small, but growing business.  The best part is that we are still in our early days, scratching the surface of the full market potential, just beginning to optimize every exciting part of the business, from customer acquisition to retention.

 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities sought:

The primary responsibility of the successful candidate is to maximize food and wine sales and promote our wine club and events through their ability to:

• Provide a superior customer experience and service and provide guests with knowledge of our unique wines and foods.
• Develop rapport with the customers
• Willing to expand general knowledge of wine and wine and food pairing
• Enjoys life, can laugh and have fun while still getting the job done

Candidates must:

• Be 21 years of age
• Have the ability to become or already be TIPS/Serve Safe trained
• Be a team player
• Be flexible with shifts/duties
• Possess a high degree of integrity and take pride in their work
• Be able to lift up to 45 pounds
• Be able to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Be able to work nights/weekends 
• Have the ability to notice deficiencies and suggest solutions and/or other marketing efforts
• Be able to talk to anyone from anywhere and be a good listener

Other relevant information:

• This position will start out three to four days a week and work into full time once fully trained with weekends being required.  No holidays are required.
• Training will include: POS system, wine tasting, wine and food pairing, cooking our menu items
