King Estate Winery is searching for a purchasing manager to design, implement, manage and monitor procurement policy and reporting systems to meet internal company requirements. Position would report directly to the Director of Winemaking and primarily support winery production needs. Must be able to analyze, identify and verify purchasing requirements by determining total package needs for various wine programs based on sales and marketing requests, i.e. packaging design and targeted quantities. Must be able to think critically to clarify total packaging needs whether working interdepartmentally or with outside contacts. Will establish parameters for vendor relationships, criteria for selection, evaluation and management of suppliers. Must possess positive and professional negotiation skills. The ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy, (up to 60 pound), packages required. Must be certified in forklift operation and have an in depth knowledge of production operations. Food and beverage industry packaging procurement experience and CPP is not required but strongly preferred. Experience in purchasing and proven success in prior positions required.
Weekly, full-time position, eligible for all company benefits (Health/Dental/401K/Life/Disability/Flexible Spending and paid time off accrual. Salary based on experience.
