Upcoming Spirits Company is searching for a Vice President of Marketing in Northern California. The company is growing quickly and this will be a critical role. Simply, we are searching for someone that has a history of demonstrated brand building in the Adult Beverage category. Major company background is a must. The hiring process will be swift.
This position will answer to the Director of Marketing. Assist with the development of brand positioning, creation and execution of all strategic marketing plans, and creating budgets. Areas of responsibility include advertising, trade marketing, packaging, promotions, selling materials, event coordination, social media, agency management, in-house Brand Ambassador management, and managing budgets.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred
· 5-10 years marketing experience, Adult Beverage professional
· Experience launching new products
· Working knowledge of both on & off-premise and the three-tier distribution system
· Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
· Proficiency in MS Office, Mac programs, and other media software
· Proven ability to support and collaborate with the sales team and Brand Ambassadors
· Proven ability to develop & execute marketing strategies
· Experience working with outside marketing agencies, celebrities, and media companies
· Demonstrated ability to manage a large portfolio of brands
· This position may occasionally require working evenings/weekends for marketing events and projects
· Analyze market, channel, and category trends to recommend strategic and tactical direction
· Experience analyzing depletion and shipment data, and syndicated data tools (IRI)
· Must have a working knowledge of compliance with alcohol advertising rules and standards
· Current, valid Driver’s License, insurable driving record, and clean background (drug testing/financial)
