Regional Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Growing Chicago based importer of wine, beer and spirits is searching for positive and high energy professionals, to be Regional Sales Managers for various states.

Applicants must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience specifically in the alcoholic beverage industry. Ideal candidates will have a proven track record with distributors, retailers and chain accounts, be able to develop and maintain relationships with new as well as established accounts and have outstanding organizational skills. Must be able to work independently, and be the kind of person who everyone can count on to be where they need to be, do what they need to do, and be passionate about it!

Qualified candidate’s duties and responsibilities are to include, but are not limited to:

•Distributor Management – pricing, programming, budgeting, working with managers, and sales team, etc…

•Actively work the market both independently and with Distributor’s sales staff

•Attend regular Distributor Sales Meetings to educate staff on our product line

•Continuously monitor each Distributor’s performance and identify where there could be improvement

•Work closely with chain and key accounts – both on and off premise

•Must be willing to get out of the office, and spend 60%-70% of your time focused on directly calling on key accounts (top volume retailers, prestigious restaurants, regional chains in your region).  Basically, enjoy being a “Road Warrior”.

•Extensive wine knowledge and a love of the industry

•The ability to wear many different hats

•Willing and able to call on all segments of the business

•Experience representing brands not just in the field, but at trade shows, wine dinners, meetings, etc…
