District Sales Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Synergy Fine Wines is a premier fine wine, beer & spirits distributor representing some of the finest portfolios available including, Epicurean Wines, Giuliana Imports, Steltzner, Turley, Lewis Cellars, Failla, Charbay, Tapatio, El Dorado Rum and many more.

We are currently looking to fill the position of District Sales Manager. We are seeking motivated, experienced candidates who possess excellent service and time management skills. This position may require evening and weekend hours as needed to meet the schedules of all clients and to coordinate training events, wine dinners, etc.

We offer a competitive salary and commission (to be determined based on experience), medical, dental and 401k, as well as additional incentives. We are looking for individuals who are motivated to meet sales goals, build business in existing accounts, and to increase overall distribution.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•  Manage a team of sales representatives and multiple territories
•  Train, develop, and encourage team to achieve individual success that contributes to overall team success.
•  Conduct sales meetings and product presentations for sales team.
•  Set forth sales goals and implement strategies to meet objectives and report on results.
•  Provide consistent and regular communication with team through weekly correspondence 
•  Collaborate with key accounts to improve distribution.
•  Familiarize yourself with competition and market trends and development within specific product categories, geographic regions, and accounts.
•  Attend sales meetings, winery/distiller meetings/tours and selling/information seminars..
•  Perform other work related duties and special projects as assigned.
•  Work flexible hours which may include early morning, evenings, and weekends. Overnight travel as required. Additional hours required during the peak season of October, November and December

Qualifications/Requirements:
•  Working knowledge of wine and spirits industry REQUIRED.
•  4-6 years experience with managing and supervising a team in the wine/spirits industry 
•  Possess excellent communication and organizational skills; specifically, must be able to stay focused and motivated in maintaining a high level of service to accounts. 
•  Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
•  Bachelor degree in related field
•  Ability to drive and maintain a valid and/or current driver’s license
•  Ability to manage multiple projects/priorities on tight deadlines and maintain high level of quality
