Stoller Family Estate is currently seeking the right individual to oversee our tasting room and drive sales. The right candidate will be a self-motivated, energetic, enthusiastic individual with experience in tasting room operation and sales, consumer events, wine club, and hospitality development. We're looking for someone who can take initiative to drive this important part of our successful direct sales program, and work collectively to take it to the next level. This person should have a hospitality, management, and sales background, with a genuine interest in the wine industry and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
Duties include and are not limited to:
-Ability to effectively manage, lead, and inspire our tasting room team.
-Oversight of employee training, scheduling, incentives, reviews and when necessary, discipline.
-Inventory control and management.
-Submitting weekly sales reports.
-Proficiency with data entry, MS Word/Excel.
-Superior knowledge of local area to include AVA’s, restaurants, b&bs, and other wineries.
-Routine purchasing transactions using a point-of-sale system.
-Hosting private consumer and trade tastings.
-Booking and leading private wine tours and large group reservations.
-Signing up wine club members.
-Closing wine sales.
-Ability to work with fellow staff and management in accomplishing company goals.
-Establishing sales goals and projections while building and maintaining relationships with new and regular customers, and wine club members.
-Weekly sales meetings.
-Help plan and execution of consumer events.
-Networking with rental companies, catering companies, and other applicable vendors.
-Compliance with OLCC and ODA regulations.
-Outstanding customer service.
-Work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
-Maintain company confidentiality in regards to sales, employees, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years’ related winery, hospitality, and management experience
- Strong knowledge of and enthusiasm for wine
- Focus on providing great hospitality and customer service
- Detail oriented, multi-tasker and motivated
- Must be a team player and get along well with others
- Strong computer proficiency and data entry experience preferred
- Able to work in fast paced environment
- Efficiency in hosting multiple groups at the same time
- Professional appearance and upbeat demeanor
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
