Regional Director of Global Accounts (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Effectively represent Ste. Michelle Wine Estates, contributing to the execution of SMWE strategic business plans to achieve sales and market execution objectives, building and strengthening distribution of SMWE brands while growing relationships.

Essential Functions:

• Gain core distribution of our company’s products in the assigned chain accounts.

• Initiate and develop strong relationships with key corporate decision makers and influential operators for the accounts assigned in the territory.

• Protect and grow current business as well as continually seek out new business development.

• Take lead role in development of the emerging regional acct segment in TX, the MW and nationally as part of the 2016 & beyond RTM strategy.

• Align as team point person with the RNDC National Accounts team headquartered in TX to leverage focus for SMWE brands within all selling activity.

• Manage company business and case sales within budgetary guidelines in order to meet departmental and organizational objectives.

• Travel to accounts’ headquarters and major units, various trade association meetings, and customers’ conferences & meetings.

Working Conditions:

• Availability for extensive business travel (up to 50%).

• Home-based office.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 35 pounds.

• Ability to drive a company vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of chain restaurant operations. How restaurant chains function and their partnership needs for business success. Know how these organizations are structured, and the different departments and influential decision-makers within to call on.

• Basic understanding of restaurant and food & beverage marketing. In many chains it is the marketing department that makes the beverage decisions. Candidate must know the basics aspects of marketing as it relates to the industry.

• Excellent workplace communication skills – business writing and presentation. 

• Presents a positive and professional image when representing Ste. Michelle Wine Estates. 

• Highly self-directed, able to work independently with little or no supervision.

• Strong organizational skills, systems and habits. 

• Genuine commitment to continuous self-improvement.

• Must be able to demonstrate a solid working knowledge of the professional sales process: prospecting, qualifying, presenting, closing, and service after the sale. 

• Ability to develop strategic, long-term business plans.

• High level of proficiency with Microsoft applications.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
