SUMMARY
Under minimal supervision, ensures that customers receive the best service possible by coordinating customer service activities while adhering to established policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Answers telephone calls from customers, salesmen and drivers.
- Follows-up and helps in resolution of order problems.
- Takes orders, calculates and prepares special bills.
- Files daily invoices and miscellaneous reports.
- Provides first backup for order desk.
- Provides support for other customer service positions.
- Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
- Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution plus 4 years of customer service experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.
- Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
- Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

- Good organization skills.
