Brand Ambassador - Villa Maria Estate (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Villa Maria Estate and Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (SMWE) are looking for an energetic Brand Ambassador, whose sole focus will be the brand development and sales growth of Villa Maria Estate wines in the key regional markets of initially Illinois, then Michigan & Minnesota. Villa Maria is New Zealand’s most awarded winery; and the largest New Zealand family owned winery represented in the United States.

Essential Functions:
•  Collaborate with and manage/influence SMWE distributors to ensure that Villa Maria is top-of-mind in the New Zealand category.
•  Establish and maintain route frequency for responsible territory and assigned accounts to grow on and off premise sales.
•  Support Villa Maria marketing initiatives and tasting programs by telling the Villa Maria story.
•  Educate/assist and inform on all Villa Maria products to SMWE distributors, the trade, and SMWE sales teams
•  Support SMWE Business Development Managers and wider sales network to build their knowledge and understanding of Villa Maria brands.
•  Execute/maintain/monitor all SMWE driven Villa Maria marketing initiatives and programs for all accounts in assigned territory.

Working Conditions:
•  Home office environment
•  Travel approx. 45%

Physical Requirements:
•  Able to drive a company vehicle
•  Maintain a valid driver’s license
•  Ability to occasionally lift up to 45 pounds

Qualifications:
Education level:
•  4 year degree (Bachelor).

Ideal Experience:
•  Require someone who can respond to key objectives set by Villa Maria Estate, and execute them within the SMWE distribution network.
•  A proven track record of achievement in sales and account management in the wine industry.
•  A driven sales professional, preferably with a proven and established customer network.
•  Experience working with distributors in general and SGWS in particular is a major plus.
•  An ambitious and driven self-starter with a passion for New Zealand wine.
•  History of responsible use of alcohol and other appropriate conduct, as well as fitness to be licensed, permitted, and/or certified by state and/or local regulatory bodies
