Delicato Family Vineyards has an immediate career opportunity for a Regional Account Manager in the Southeast.  This position can be positioned in either Charlotte NC, or Richmond VA.

Position Summary:

The Regional Account Manager leads and directs regional chains to meet and exceed business plan and performance objectives. This position is responsible for the creation, implementation, and execution of strategic sales initiatives.

Duties/Essential Job Functions:

• Actively calls on regional accounts to achieve agreed upon distribution and sales goals; develops and maintains long term working relationships with the wine buyers and key distributors.
• Identifies critical high payoff strategies and prioritizes efforts consistent with the organization’s goals.
• Uses analytical tools and monitors chain business.
• Uses Nielsen/marketing data at the chain level to determine local priorities and develop sales materials.
• Monitors chains performance (depletions, shipments, pricing, promotional materials).
• Provides accurate and timely reports including retail price surveys, expenses, and monthly chain activity reports.
• Responsible for managing activities in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Ensures agreed upon sales volume and profit goals are achieved while aggressively controlling costs within the work unit and makes suggestions that enhance the organization’s financial position; spending, and profitability.
• Displays vision and a keen sense of the future; seeks new business/distribution opportunities
• Proactively analyzes potential problems; monitors competitive activity with all accounts to ensure appropriate strategies are aligned and executed.
• Assists distributor and Director of Regional Account Manager in sales forecast for region; set and communicates objectives.

Position Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree with emphasis on Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, or related field of study.

Knowledge & Experience:

• 5-7 years distributor and/or wine supplier experience in selling wine, building brands, and conducting customer calls. 
• 3-5 years management experience with personnel and distributor management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and successful track record. 
• Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Market and distributor knowledge.
• Communication, presentation, customer service, and negotiation skills.
• Detail oriented and results driven.
• Must possess in-depth working knowledge of wine and the wine industry.  Ability to work independently.
• Acceptable driving history.

Technical Experience:

PC literate (MS suite; Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to navigate in the Internet/Intranet environments and use Nielsen/BDN data for effective business development.
