Duties:
• Provide The Country Vintner and Quality Wine & Spirits with the tactical implementation of our spirits strategy to meet Distributor and Supplier goals in the marketplace.
• Work with Spirits Brand Manager to craft spirits portfolio, as well as define and execute strategy.
• Through partner selling with Sales Consultants, effectively expand and maintain business through aggressive sales efforts; build strong, well-defined relationships with key customers, both on and off premise.
• Conduct sales activities such as market visits, sales meetings, trade shows, dinners and events.
• Support the sales force with educational programs for their key consumers to include usage, product attributes, points of differentiation/unique selling points, competitive trends, etc.
• Build strong supplier relationships & collaboration. Work with suppliers to develop effective local strategies through extensive communication and planning.
• Develop and maintain high-level awareness of all market factors affecting brands through field contact, trade contact and review of appropriate publications.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree preferably in business or hospitality.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales and/or marketing.
• Must have minimum of 3 years’ experience in the spirits industry.
• Extensive knowledge of craft spirits, cocktail culture and mixology.
• Market knowledge of key on and off premise accounts and their go to market strategy.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office Software.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent follow through skills and the ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
• Valid Driver’s License.
Recommended Credentials:
• Membership in United States Bartenders’ Guild.
• Certified Specialist of Spirits (CSS) from The Society of Wine Educators.
