Hospitality and Sales Manager (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

Flaneur Wines is seeking the right person to complement our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for someone with superior hospitality skills to help design and grow our hospitality and sales department.

Flâneur Wines and vineyards is a forward-thinking winery with a decidedly old school tilt to winemaking and hospitality. We specialize in cool climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and our vineyard practices are centered around organic and holistic farming principles. In the winery, we use indigenous microbes with very little interference. Our goal is to create wines of great depth and personality. We work almost exclusively with estate fruit spread over 40 acres and two vineyard—one in the Ribbon Ridge AVA and one in the Chehalem Mountain AVA. 

Key responsibilities of the position are as follows:

Tasting Room/Winery Sales:
Educate and inspire customers by providing a unique, welcoming and world-class experience.
Assist in developing guest experience/hospitality format and concept.
Direct to consumer sales (web and mailing list)
Establish wine club/offering model.
Develop on- and off-site events for new and existing customers.
Host by-appointment tasting and private events.
Train additional hospitality staff.

Marketing:
Social media
Public relations
Community/industry outreach
Create marketing/tasting room content.
Investigate and create cross-marketing opportunities.
Identify and create alliances with key industry contacts and tastemakers ranging from media outlets, bloggers, critics, somms, chefs etc. 

Office Management:
Set up/maintain winery ecommerce software.
Coordinate with offsite shipping/compliance managers.
Manage inventory.

A successful candidate should:
Have experience with customer relations and hospitality management. 
Be passionate about wine and have a working knowledge of international wines and styles.
Excel in providing an exceptional customer experience.
Be personable and able to engage with the customer.
Enjoy working in an entrepreneurial and creative environment.
Willing to get their hand dirty and work together with our small team to achieve our shared goals.
Have an open and flexible attitude.
Have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Be able to lift 50 lbs.
Be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
Be able to work evenings and weekends.
