Andrew Rich Wines is seeking an experienced intern to be part of the 2017 winemaking team. This is a unique opportunity to work with Oregon's flagship grape, Pinot Noir, from vineyards in each of the Willamette Valley's 6 AVAs, as well as Rhone varieties sourced from Washington's Columbia Valley. Andrew Rich Wines are produced at the Carlton Winemakers Studio, which is home to 13 vintners. The collaborative nature and comradery that results from making wine in close quarters with so many passionate winemakers is an added benefit. This is a seasonal position that typically starts in September and ends in November.
Our harvest intern will assist with the following tasks:
Winery sanitation
Grape processing - crushing, pressing, sorting
Additions
Barrel work
Requirements:
Previous harvest experience
Willingness to work long hours, including weekends
Forklift proficiency is a plus but not essential
Good communication skills
Candidates must be hardworking, thoughtful, and reliable
