Operator, Lift Truck (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

The Lift Truck Operator operates a powered lift to move materials throughout the stages of production, warehouse, storage and shipping/receiving areas on a day to day basis.  The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
• Receives inbound raw materials used in production and packaging according outlined methods and production needs.
• Removes and stores finished product from production lines or inbound trucks and transfers to assigned locations.
• Maintains records for review and audit purposes.
• Performs daily safety checks and maintenance of powered lift – to include but not limited to fueling, washing and greasing.
• Performs duties to maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Participates in physical inventory requirements.
• Assists in staging and outbound loading of trucks/trains as needed.
• Complies with CBI sustainability policies and practices.
• Follows procedures, programs and policies to protect personal, team and environmental safety.
Qualifications:
 
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3 to 5 years’ experience
• Must have or become forklift certified
• Must possess basic math skills
• Must be able to work various shifts

ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements:
• Physical Requirements: The employee frequently is required to sit, talk or listen and drive long distances.  The employee is occasionally required to stand; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell.  Frequent walking, including going up and down stairs and ladders, and bending are required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Work Environment: Working conditions in certain areas of the winery are cold, wet, slippery and noisy.  Involves exposure to hazardous conditions.  Irregular shifts, including graveyard, and long hours may be required, particularly during harvest.
