Position Summary:
Aubert Wines is a luxury brand specializing in ‘Grand Cru’ Single Vineyard Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from Napa Valley and Sonoma County. We are seeking an experienced cellar crew member to join our winemaking team. This position will be responsible for completing a wide range of routine and seasonal cellar tasks and will participate in all aspects of winemaking with our small, tight-knit crew in our state-of-the-art Calistoga Winery.
Responsibilities (inclusive of but not limited to):
• Complete assigned work orders, including barrel filling, topping, additions, and transfers.
• Critical harvest responsibilities include press loading and operation, cap management, fruit reception and processing, bin washing, and equipment sanitation.
• Perform routine barrel work including cleaning, racking, and maintenance/repairs.
• Provide support during bottling, such as glass loading and palletizing cased goods, and various positions on a mobile bottling truck.
• Perform general winery and cellar sanitation.
• Forklift operation and barrel stacking.
• Perform general building and grounds maintenance.
• Pull barrel samples for tastings and lab analysis.
Qualifications:
• 3-5 years winery cellar experience with demonstrated responsibilities in all aspects of cellar work.
• Forklift experience required.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Knowledge and experience in boutique, ultra-premium production setting.
• Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to follow safety regulations, operating procedures, and company policies.
• Bilingual English/Spanish speaking skills a plus.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work safely and execute work orders with a high degree of accuracy during long harvest days, in a wide range of hot and cold indoor/outdoor environments.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Candidate must possess a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
