Tipsy is a neighborhood wine and spirits shop in Brooklyn on the border of Clinton Hill and Bed-Stuy. Our goal is to foster a fun and welcoming atmosphere where locals can purchase affordable but delicious wine and spirits from a knowledgeable and cheerful staff. Everything about the store is designed to help customers learn what they like. Come join our team!
Duties include:
- Providing excellent customer service, including being helpful and friendly as well as providing recommendations
- Transactional elements of Retail Sales, including handling cash and credit transactions, stocking, entering new inventory into the system, etc.
- Tracking & stocking new inventory on shelves and in storage
- Executing opening and closing procedures
- Assisting with events & tastings
Skills Needed/Preferred:
- Friendly, cheerful and outgoing
- Exceptional Customer Service background or Skills
- At minimum, a basic knowledge of wine and spirits and the curiosity to learn
- Ideally, experience in the wine/spirits industry or wine education
- Must be able to work standing for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift 40-50lbs
30+ hours/week, competitive compensation and employee discounts.
