Brooklyn Winery is looking for two more seasonal harvest interns for the upcoming 2017 vintage. Located in Brooklyn, NY, Brooklyn Winery is the premier urban winery focused on quality. We produce ~9000 cases annually with a focus on the best AVA'a in the country, from the Finger Lakes, NY to Carneros, CA. A very unique opportunity to get hands on experience with a wide range of styles from multiple and distinct AVA's. Previous experience is a plus, but not required. Housing not provided.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- cleaning and sanitizing equipment
- grape sorting and processing
- punch downs and pump overs
- additions
- racking/wine and juice movements
- analysis, Brix and Temperature
- Bottling as needed
Qualified candidates must be:
- Attentive to detail
- Able to work long and flexible hours
- Able to lift and carry 50+ pounds
- Able to safely climb ladders, equipment etc.
Internship will run from approximately early-August to early November.
