Vineyard Assistant (Wine Jobs: Vineyards & Cellars )

Become a team member of Chateau Élan Winery and Resort as we grow to one of the most awared wineries on the east coast. A qualified candidate will have a strong work ethic paired with equal enthusiasm for quality customer service. The function of this position is to work directly under the vineyard manager and perform daily duties including, but not limited to, canopy management, operating tractors and lawnmowers, construction of trellis systems and general farm maintenance. During peak times assist in harvest, pruning, and planting. As well as assisting with winery cellar and bottling activities.

• During Harvest (Sept-October) overtime, shift work and some weekends may be required.
• Work hours vary depending on season and flexibility during peak times is required. 

• Strong work ethic, with the ability to see a job through
• Farming, carpentry , and/or mechanical skills preferred, but not required.
• Work well with a team and independently and possess strong communication skills
• Able to work under pressure in a calm, efficient manner
• Willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to lift 50 pounds and able to work at heights and in enclosed spaces at times.
• Ability to problem solve and prioritize tasks

The ideal candidate will have at least two years’ experience working in an outside environment in varying weather conditions.
