Hunt Country Vineyards is a 6th generation 170-acre family farm and craft winery on Keuka Lake in the heart of the Finger Lakes wine region. We manage 50 acres of 13 varieties of wine grapes, and have operated our winery since 1981. We are focused on developing the sustainability of the farm and business for future generations.

We are looking for a skillful and highly motivated individual to lead our vineyard management efforts, consistent with the goals of the winery and overall business. This person will ideally have 2-4 years of college level education and at least 3 years of vineyard management experience.

This is a hands-on position, performing him/herself vineyard tasks to a consistently high standard of quality and leading others by example.

JOB DESCRIPTION (duties include, but are not limited to):
Trellis repair
Pruning, tying
Pesticide application
Herbicide application
Canopy management
Contract crew supervision
Tissue and soil sampling
Equipment maintenance and light repair
Harvest sampling
Harvest and fruit processing
Record keeping

REQUIREMENTS
Drivers License
NYS Pesticide Applicators License
IPM disease scouting experience
Be able to work out doors in rough, wet terrain when necessary
Lift 80 pounds
Work long hours and weekends in season and as needed.
Computer proficient
Detail Oriented
Mechanical aptitude

He/she will work closely with the winemaking staff.
