First, the prerequisites. Let's get that out of the way:
-have at least 3 years managing a food or beverage manufacturing operation (must be manufacturing, ie. not a restaurant)
-be smart (with a degree to prove it and/or a long track record of previous work experience with good references)
-be knowledgeable of regulations imposed by the FDA, ABCC, TTB, OSHA, etc.
-be knowledgeable of systems used in manufacturing operations such as ERP
-be a leader
The ideal candidate will get shit done. They will seek results and efficiency while maintaining a high level of quality, safety, and employee satisfaction. You must have previous operations management experience in a manufacturing environment. Working with beverages and/or alcohol is a major plus but not a prerequisite.
As the Operations Manager you will manage several different departments with the end goal of taking raw cider through the process of becoming packaged hard cider and shipped out to distributors. The current team is around a twenty people. You will report directly to the owner.
