Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits currently seeks a Brand Ambassador for Barone Fini who possesses the below qualifications.
Reporting into the Divisional Vice President Northeast, the Barone Fini Brand Ambassador will be responsible for increasing Barone Fini’s menu and retail placements in key Northeast markets: NJ, CT and MA. This person will also educate the distributor and sales force by sharing their in-depth knowledge of Italian wines and Barone Fini’s story, and build relationships with key stakeholders in the On and Off Premise.
Qualifications:
• A beverage industry professional with experience selling wine or spirits to all channels of
trade
• Provide ability in territory sales management including creative and fact-based selling
• Solid understanding of Italian wines, from territory and history to trends and brands
• Objective-orientated, focused, self-motivated and driven individual who does well in an
entrepreneurial environment
• Charismatic storyteller who enjoys sharing their wine knowledge and tales with others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including writing and delivering
presentations
• Deadline-oriented self-starter who is proactive and holds self to high standard of work
quality
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to interface with the distributor network and
develop key customer relationships
• Existing trade account and/or distributor relationships in the MA, CT and/or NJ markets
• BS/BA degree is preferred
• Ability to speak Italian is preferred, but not required
• Travel approximately 75%
Responsibilities:
• Trade Outreach & Engagement (70%)
o Cultivate relationships and grow distribution in core set of influential On and Off
premise accounts (per target account list)
o Monitor distribution, shelf placement and merchandising in Off Premise accounts
o Build relationships and provide support to key distributor sales people and managers
o Activate brand initiatives with distributors and accounts
• Trade and Account Education (15%)
o Serve as product knowledge expert for Barone Fini wines
• Communicate features and benefits
• Communicate heritage and equity of the brand
o Educate DFWS, trade and distributor/broker partners on benefits of Barone Fini
o Lead tastings of Barone Fini wines with distributors and trade partners
o Support sales division teams at distributor meetings and events
o Support Deutsch Field Sales Managers (as needed)
• Events (10%)
o Host wine dinners with key distributor sales people and managers and top On or Off
Premise accounts
o Assist in planning and execution of local/ad hoc consumer events
• Reporting and Administrative (5%)
o Provide monthly recap of all activities
o Attend monthly status calls with brand team and brand owner
o KPI monitoring
o Report markets trends and competitor activity
