JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Landscape Manager/Horticulturist designs, manages, implements, and maintains all areas related to landscape at Oliver Winery and Vineyards. Oliver Winery's landscape and gardens are comprised of highly manicured landscape beds, lawns, and natural terrain.

The Landscape Manager/Horticulturist is a manager within the Facility Department and supervises a team of part time, seasonal, and full time staff. This position is responsible for managing a team to create a garden experience for our guests of the highest standards that is an integral part of our overall customer experience. Attention to detail in regard to appearance, safety, comfort, beauty and functionality is a critical responsibility of this role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manage the landscaping crew with efficiency, attention to detail, and in a manner that achieves the highest level of standards.
• Design, install, and maintain seasonal plantings, gardens and landscaped areas of the winery. 
• Purchase of all plants, landscape materials, and tools required.
• Accurately labels and maintains records of plants and their locations throughout the winery.
• Work with guest experience in mind and manage crew to be cognizant of guest experience as well. Interacts with customers and staff in an educational, friendly, inviting way in an effort to enhance customer experience.
• Works with Facility Manager and staff to maintain workspace, tools, and grounds in a clean and well-organized manner.
• Assist in other areas of winery operation when needed.
• Additional duties, as assigned by Management.


QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven Management Skills
• Horticultural Knowledge: Degree or experience in Horticulture or related academic experience.
• Significant experience in managing large complex gardens.
• Must possess a detailed knowledge and understanding of plants.
• Proven success in hospitality landscape and design.
• Possess a valid driver's license and be able to be insured on company vehicles. 
• Due to the nature of our business, must be at least 21 years of age.
