We are currently looking for a Pricing Analyst to join our Merchandise Management department in Bethesda, MD. Reporting into the Pricing group, this position will play a key role in maintaining retails for our stores. Areas of involvement for this role include but are not limited to daily retail changes, business rule management, competitive analysis and ad hoc analytics. The pricing team works on projects with a variety of departments in the company, making this position a great opportunity to learn many aspects of the business while putting skills to work.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with the Pricing, Buying and Market Management teams to gain an in-depth understanding of market level pricing strategies, business rules and the competitive landscape
• Evaluate price change requests from Stores, Merchandising and Market Management to ensure retails are set correctly and a resolution is properly communicated
• Conduct advanced competitive analyses to evaluate competitive pricing and overall strategy effectiveness
• Assist with coordination and management of the quarterly retail pricing process ensuring that all pricing tasks are completed by deadlines specified in project plans.
• Manage the calendar of ongoing pricing activities
• Serve as a key resource for ad hoc projects on the Pricing and Merchandising Team
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Experience, Skills and Education:
• Undergraduate degree required
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word are required
• Retail/consumer products industry experience is desirable
• 3-5 years work experience desired
Preferred Experience, Skills and Education:
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to handle and prioritize multiple requests at once
• Ability to work as part of a team to achieve common objectives
• Continual attention to detail in producing deliverables, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
• Ability to create a plan and clear action steps from vague problem definition
• Flexible & easily adapts to change
