KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the business owner for data, applications, and systems that support marketing.
• Become the subject matter expert for the Total Wine customer data world – integrating data from our Point of Sale System, a Loyalty program, Salesforce Marketing Cloud for email, the Total Wine website and other data sources – as we strive for a comprehensive 360-degree view of the customer.
• Set standards for and measure data quality to ensure that business users have access to high-value and high-quality data.
• Ensure that there is a sound infrastructure such that our analytic teams can access and understand the data as they seek to deliver reports, analysis and dashboards to the organization.
• Act as the department liaison with the Information Technology team.
• Maximize the relationships with external partners providing technology and consulting services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Experience, Skills and Education:
• BA or BS required.
• 5+ years’ experience in CRM and customer data management, marketing and sales analytics, reporting and dashboard development, analysis and delivery.
• 2+ years’ experience in managing the integration of marketing application software across an organization's marketing technology landscape.
• 2+ years’ demonstrated success in establishing and implementing a marketing technology vision.
• Experience successfully implementing and managing projects where you are the leader, but the players and resources come from other departments.
• Experience negotiating vendor contracts and monitoring service levels.
Preferred Experience, Skills and Education:
• Knowledge of CRM, campaign management and/or marketing automation systems.
• Relational database knowledge and knowledge of data analysis techniques.
• Proficient with SQL and/or OLAP or data mining tools.
• Analytical thinker, naturally curious, and thrives in working in cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical resources.
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and Access.
• Willing to take ownership of all assigned tasks and have the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
