The Director Offer Strategy and Development will be a part of our Promotions Team and will be responsible for strategic development, implementation and coordination of all promotions across the organization. This individual will have a track record of determining and implementing both targeted and untargeted promotions that drive sales, margin, traffic and customer retention. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work against multiple deadlines. Additionally, this position requires significant cross departmental coordination, collaboration with Customer Insights, Market Management, Merchandising,Marketing and Store Operations. The successful candidate will be able to develop a portfolio of offers that drive desired customer behavior that will grow share of wallet. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated, analytical individual to directly impact and learn about many aspects of our unique business.

 

Essential Functions:

• Collaborates with the VP of Promotions to develop strategy and planning of overall promotional vision based on sales plan and customer targeting
• Lead and mentor a team that delivers relevant and engaging content and offers to our customers while supporting customer retention and share of wallet growth
• Partner with Customer Insights and Analytics teams to marry customer behavior to offers
• Work collaboratively with Finance to forecast sales and promotional spend for all offers, including test and learn programs for future offers
• Monitor, analyze and evaluate customer file in conjunction with current and past promotions, competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities and generate future promotions 
• Monitor structure and effectiveness of promotional offers and content
• Collaborates with other functions to align offer strategies to business goals
• Identifies and prioritizes future systems and investment needs in partnership with stakeholders
• Develop triggered and non-triggered methodologies and tactics
• Bring modern ideas and recommendations to ensure promotions remain relevant and achieve acquisition of new customers and drive share of wallet with existing customers
• Develop  a working model of tools to be used to impact sales, margin, customer traffic, etc.

 

 

You should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathmatics, Engineering, Computer Science or Business
• Master’s degree or other advanced certification preferred


Experience is important. To set you apart:

 
• Extensive experience using analytics to solve problems
• 8-10 years experience in consumer goods or retail roles
• 8-10 years of management and leadership in similar retail environment
• Experience working in a dynamic, continuously improving, fast moving business model

• Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, word, excel), executive presentation development
