JOB DESCRIPTION
The primary responsibility of a UJBAL Sales Representative is selling UJBAL products to customers in order to maintain and grow UJBAL's market share.  A Sales Representative is knowledgeable about UJBAL;s portfolio and educates the customer while selling UJBAL products.  The Sales Representative manages marketing within accounts and uses United systems to bill orders, look at sales numbers, and track progress towards goals.  This position is perfect for a self-motivated, competitive individual who thrives in situations requiring a high level of collaboration, organization, interpersonal skills, and creativity. 

The ideal candidate preferably has a Bachelor’s Degree, Associate’s Degree or Technical College; a High School or Vocational Diploma or GED is required. The candidate has basic computer skills, and excellent interpersonal skills and can travel to all call points within an assigned territory. He or she must be highly organized and self-motivated with strong customer service skills and must have the physical ability to perform the requirements of the job, which may include greater than average lifting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sell UJBAL products to maintain and increase UJBAL's market share.
  • Sell new items and programs, and increase product knowledge with customers.
  • Use UJBAL systems daily to bill orders, run sales reports, track goal progress, etc.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of UJBAL product portfolio.
  • Build positive relationships with suppliers, customers, UJBAL sales teams, and UJBAL delivery associates.
  • Complete supplier ride-withs, when required.
  • Manage marketing within accounts including point of sale material, displays, and brand development promotions when applicable.
  • Run vacation routes for teammates, when required.
  • Perform sales deliveries to accounts, when required.
  • Travel by vehicle to all call points in assigned territory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree from a two or four-year college or university preferred
  • Must be able to pass the required background check, physical exam, and drug testing
  • Valid driver's license in this state, or able to obtain one
  • Ability to interact effectively with executive management that provides company leadership and direction.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Able to learn and maintain knowledge of company and products
  • Results-driven (performance)
  • While performing the responsibilities of the job, the employee is required to talk and hear, stand and walk, sit, reach with arms and hands, lift and carry, use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle
  • Able to perform greater than average lifting, with some overhead lifting, when required
  • Repeated lifting, bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, including some kegs
  • Some work in refrigerated areas
  • Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to change focus
  • Exposure to smoke and dust in certain accounts
  • Able to frequently climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
