Portfolio Analyst (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

The Henry Wine group is a leading distributor throughout the state of California of authentic, value to ultra-premium, domestic and imported wines. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Marketing team as a Portfolio Analyst.

Under the direction of the Portfolio Manager, provide administrative and data entry support for the Portfolio Managers in areas concerning product integrity, analytical support, and sales support. Effectively analyze and purchase inventory.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities:

•  Proactively undertake product data maintenance and integrity, including: vendor, brand and item set-up, cost maintenance, pricing, depletion allowances, restrictions, and reservations.
•  Provide Marketing Manager support including: brand launches, pre-sells and futures, sales administration, goal tracking, and ad hoc reporting.
•  Provide Sales support by providing product information.
•  Analyze inventory levels against established par levels.
•  Create purchase orders to meet dynamic inventory needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

•  1-2 years of prior purchasing experience required
•  Industry experience required
•  Must be a self starter
•  Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills
•  Microsoft Office and especially Excel are required
•  Ability to learn and operate Company software systems
•  Associate degree, Bachelors Degrees or work experience equivalent
