Job Description:

Urban Wine Cellars is a wine marketing and brokerage company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. We are seeking a full-time State Sales Manager for Georgia who acts as a Brand Ambassador for the wineries we represent.

The niche market for Urban Wine Cellars is family owned wineries situated in California’s Central Coast from Santa Barbara up to Paso Robles. The wineries that we have partnered with as clients produce small-lot, handcrafted, artisanal wines using meticulous winemaking techniques.

The Position:
•  The right candidate will have a passion for fine wine and be a creative, independent closer.
•  Complete management of state - calling on fine dining restaurants, hotels, and independent retailers.
•  Must be capable of building a territory for new and existing wines independently using your professional relationships.
•  Current account base to build from but candidate MUST be able to bring their own clients/customers in order to be successful.

RESPONSIBILITIES
•  Grow our business with new and existing accounts by placing and promoting our wines to build distribution.
•  Tracking and managing inventories within distributors to ensure appropriate levels.
•  Analyzing market trends and distributor performance in order to establish and take advantage of opportunities.
•  Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
•  Communicate with key decision makers.
•  Educate accounts on our wines - tastings, staff trainings, winery information, etc.
•  Conduct distributor sales meetings.
•  Participate in trade and consumer events.
•  Exhibit a professional image when working in the market, attending sales meetings, participating in events, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS
•  Must have experience calling on fine dining restaurants, hotels, and independent retailers.
•  Must be motivated, self-starter and able to work independently to achieve sales goals.
•  Relationships with major Wholesalers: Georgia Crown, Empire, NDC, Prime, etc.
•  Fine wine sales experience in GA a must. Proven track record of success in the Atlanta Metro area, Savannah/St. Simons, and Augusta regions.
•  Highly motivated self-starter with excellent customer service skills.
•  Excellent organizational and time management skills.
•  Computer skills required: Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
•  Manage various social media platforms.

REQUIREMENTS
•  Minimum 3 years wine sales experience in Georgia.
•  Ability to travel throughout the state frequently and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
•  Reliable transportation to service the entire state.
•  Valid Georgia driver's license, safe driving record.
•  Proof of insurance on the vehicle is required.
•  MUST reside in Atlanta and have wine/sales relationships to build on.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
•  Servicing accounts (5-10) daily.
•  Must be able to lift 40 pounds or more.
•  Submission of Weekly Sales Reports.

COMPENSATION
•  Commission + Bonus
