The Winebow Group, headquartered in Ashland, Virginia, is one of the nation's leading distributors of fine wine and craft spirits. We are currently seeking a qualified professional in our Atlanta, GA office to work with our Brand Management team to provide brand analysis and support that drives growth in the marketplace.
Duties:
• Creates and builds analysis tools that increase efficiency, revenue and margins of the business.
• Works with back-end database and software developers to create, maintain and audit goal tracking reports and other data models/reports (both on- and off-line) for data integrity (will include data entry)
• Works with Brand Managers to collect, track and disseminate information related to brand projects and objectives.
• Monitors progress towards brand (including case, revenue and margin expectations) and inventory goals and keeps management apprised of any issues.
• Works with Brand and Purchasing teams to develop insight tools that analyze inventory, including expected demand, potential out of stocks, and aged inventory.
• Stays updated on industry and market trends using internal and external data to analyze brand performance; notifying management of cost savings and opportunities for growth.
• Tracks, recaps and coordinates incentive and program performance on weekly and monthly basis.
• Prepares business review materials for supplier and management meetings (attending as needed).
• Meets agreed upon goals and objectives effectively and in a timely manner.
• Arrives to work, appointments, meetings, and other work-related functions on time and as scheduled.
Requirements:
• BA/BS in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
• (3) years of experience in a financial, sales, or marketing department analyzing sales data required.
• Computer proficiency in MS Office software including analytic tools.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including data tables, pivot tables, functions (e.g. vlookup, match, index, countifs, sumifs, etc), formulae (using references, nesting, arrays, conditional statements and linear algebra), and creation and maintenance of macros.
• Understanding of relationship databases and analysis tools and how they interact.
• Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
• Experience or knowledge in the wine and spirits industry preferred.
