Regional Manager Job Description – Hope Family Wines

 

This position is primarily one of distributor management and requires a high degree of competency in that area.  The Regional Manager is ultimately responsible for the sales, distribution and profit goals within the assigned territory.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Executing and managing the regional sales, depletions, and accounts sold goals by state and distributor
  • Developing effective market plans and promotions with Distributors to ensure that assigned goals are met
  • Managing regional budgets:  T&E, promotional, pricing, etc.
  • Managing DA’s and promotional budgets to maximize results while maintaining budget
  • Holding Distributors accountable for meeting goals and implementing market plans effectively, while maintaining brand and pricing strategies set by HFW
  • Creating channel specific goals, tracking set goals and providing analysis by channel
  • Establishing a strong sales presence within the territory and conducting regular distributor  meetings to ensure that brand priorities and initiatives are maintained in key states
  • Preparing annual, biannual and quarterly business reviews as required, including market analysis and cogent next steps for market development
  • Clearly articulating Hope Family Wines’ business strategy to Distributors and Accounts
  • Understanding at all times market conditions and competitive activity
  • Building relationships with key accounts
  • Providing Zone Manager with accurate and timely information and reports as necessary or required

  • Budget Management:  Efficient management of company resources to maximize profitability
  • Teamwork:  Ability to work and communicate effectively with colleagues and with Distributors

 

Personal Skills & Qualities:

  • Self-motivated and highly organized, with the ability to work autonomously and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Good judgment and professional maturity
  • Excellent communication style, both written and verbal
  •  High level of integrity, self-confidence and the ability to build relationships
  • Good PC skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
