Call Center Sales Representative I (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

Description

Call Center Sales Representatives are primarily responsible for handling incoming calls to the estate that may include, but are not limited: advance ticketing and general information; specialty tours, activities, and events; annual passes; and Inn on Biltmore Estate and area accommodations packages.  Representatives use active listening and suggestive selling techniques to help guests organize and plan their Biltmore visit in order to create exceptional and memorable experiences.  Duties include, but are not limited to: fielding calls; assisting guests with visit planning, reservations, and advance ticketing needs; handling inquires about annual passes and special events; area and Inn on Biltmore Estate accommodations and package bookings; and providing general information to guests about Biltmore and the Asheville area.

Requirements

·         High school diploma (or G.E.D).  Additional education, training, and/or certification(s) helpful.

·         At least one (1) year of previous related guest service, call center, sales, and/or reservations experience.  The ideal candidate will have two (2) years of guest service experience, preferably handling reservations in an upscale attraction/hotel/resort environment.  Previous sales experience is strongly preferred. 

·         Demonstrated commitment to providing world class guest service is a must.

·         Ability to quickly learn Biltmore’s ticketing and reservations systems and acquire knowledge of the estate and the Asheville area.  Must be comfortable with both the internet and operating computer reservations systems to include both data entry and information searches.

·         Ability to handle a variety of transactions quickly, accurately, and professionally while multi-tasking.

·         Must be able to employ active listening techniques with guests, anticipate needs, and proactively suggest and/or sell in ways that enhance the guest experience.

·         Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills; should also have excellent telephone etiquette.  Knowledge of another language helpful.

·         Must be able to project and convey gracious hospitality over the phone and maintain and helpful and service oriented demeanor.

·         Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and creatively problem solve; should be able to exercise good judgment.

·         Maturity and self-sufficiency to work both independently with little or no supervision as well as part of a dynamic guest service team.

·         Ability to represent Biltmore in a positive and professional manner at all times. 

Physical Requirements:  

·         The incumbent will work in an office environment and will be sedentary for extended periods of time.

·         Must be able to modulate voice, inflection, and tone to communicate professionally and effectively by telephone.

·         The incumbent will be required to lift up to 35 pounds occasionally.
