Direct to Consumer Sales Coordinator (Wine Jobs: Sales & Marketing)

ESSENTIAL PURPOSE:  The DTC Sales Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the growth of the Direct to Consumer Sales department by providing excellent customer service, driving wine sales through outbound sales calling, emails, and order processing and customer database management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Outbound Calling
    • Perform outbound calls delivering a sales-focused approach to every customer interaction
  • Campaign Support
    • Actively mine existing database and model sales approach according to previous consumer purchasing habits
  • Database Maintenance
    • Enter sales orders into AMS with 100% accuracy, insuring orders are complete and accurate
    • Maintain up-to-date consumer database (e.g. update credit card information, billing and shipping addresses’)
  • Wine Shipments, delivery and inventory
    • Assist customers with shipping information, package tracking and other order issues as they arise.
    • Contact all customers with returned shipments, update information, and ensure successful reshipment.
    • Packing of all manual and will call orders.
    • Communicate daily with shipping vendor
  • Guest Communication
    • Respond in a timely manner to all calls and emails regarding direct sales orders.  Promptly investigate and follow up on any customer service concerns.
    • Act as lead concierge and reservationist for our 3 Estate Wineries utilizing Cellar Pass to book and manage reservations and guest experiences
    • Deliver 5 star customer service to all clients externally and act as a professional brand ambassador at all times and in all interactions
    • Cross train in all customer service areas, including membership, tasting room and events

JOB KNOWLEDGE & EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:  
High school diploma or equivalent required.  Some College preferred. English fluency required. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, CRM, Internet; AMS a plus. 

SKILLS AND APTITUDES: 

  • 2 years telephone sales experience or equivalent relevant field
  • Exceptional sales and interpersonal communication skills – phone, verbal and written context
  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Highly detailed orientated and organized and efficient
  • Experience using CRM and other computer based project management tools
  • Self-starter with a positive work ethic and ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently to achieve personal goals
  • Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule based on hospitality needs
