Website/Marketing Content Editor (Wine Jobs: Management & Administration)

K&L Wine Merchants is one of the nation’s leading online wine retailers and we are looking for an experienced wine professional to manage our online content on a part time basis. We have thousands of products live on our website every day and this role helps make sure that everything is accurate and up to date.

Responsibilities include:

•  Regularly updating product page with the latest reviews and information from a variety of professional publications like Wine Advocate, Vinous, and Wine Spectator.

•  Keep an up-to-date knowledge of the retail wine and spirits marketplace ie. pricing, vintages, and important voices in the wine industry

•  Creating marketable product descriptions for current and past releases of wines and spirits from all relevant regions

•  Reviewing existing content to make sure it fits in to all existing parameters


Skills needed:

•  Working knowledge of wine regions, varietals, and vintages

•  Ability to write creatively, accurately, and quickly on a variety of wine-related subjects

•  An editor-quality attention to detail (formatting, grammar, spelling)

•  Ability to multi-task and complete work rapidly and accurately without direct supervision

The position is 20 hours per week, working from a remote location. Proximity to one of our stores (SF, LA, Redwood City) is preferred but not required for the right candidate.
