PASTRY COOK (Sommelier and Chef Jobs: Restaurants)

• Maintains product specifications as determined by the Chef 
  
• Maintains consistency in all recipes
  
• Assures consistency and adherence to food preparation and presentation
  
• Assist the Chef in the development of all employees in proper food handling, production procedures and cooking procedures
  
• Responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef in the development and delivery of a daily special program that compliments Company concept parameters
  
• Accountable for assuring adherence to established kitchen systems including but not limited to good sanitation practices, standardized recipe execution, proper product rotation, etc.
  
• Must remain visible on a daily basis, supporting all members of the team in assuring total food quality
  
• Must work on the line during all meal periods scheduled
  
• Must be flexible enough to work a variety of shifts
  
• Must comply with uniform policy at all times
  
• Must learn all pastry positions and agree to work all stations
  
• Promotes cleanliness, organization and sanitation of kitchen facilities, as well as assuring the highest standards of personal hygiene are followed for all kitchen employees
  
• Follows and finishes the training program for all kitchen employees. 
  
• Assists Pastry Chef and Sous chefs in setting specific goals and objectives for key employees to enable future growth of the concept from within existing ranks
  
• Assist and/or complete additional tasks as assigned

• High School Diploma (or  equivalent)
  
• 1+ year of fine dining experience required
  
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  
• Valid Driver’s License
  
• 18+ years of age
  
• Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
  
• Possess or ability to possess all required state work cards 

• High School Diploma (or  equivalent)
  
• 1+ year of fine dining experience required
  
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  
• Valid Driver’s License
  
• 18+ years of age
  
• Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company standards
  
• Possess or ability to possess all required state work cards
  

• Platting, execution of desserts
  
• Prep and/ or production of cookies, cakes, ice creams, sauces, and sorbets
  
• Thorough knowledge of  foods and service techniques
  
• Considerable skill in math and algebraic equations using percentages
  
• Ability to walk, stand, and/or bend continuously to perform essential job functions
  
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, with guests and employees, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and to collect accurate information and to resolve problems
  
• Ability to work under pressure and deal with stressful situations during busy periods
