The Dinex Group, the restaurant group of Chef Daniel Boulud is seeking an experienced Sommelier to join the db Bistro Moderne team.
This is Daniel Boulud's contemporary interpretation of the Parisian classic and a restaurant where traditional French cuisine meets the flavors of the American market. The seasonal menu highlights the quality of fine ingredients served in a casual setting. This is one of New York's top-rated bistros offering easy going, and delicious dining at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and is a favorite pre- and after-theater destination.
The Sommelier is the wine expert. He/she is responsible for maintaining a wine list that meets the goals set by management and for ensuring that proper service of wine is maintained according to the wine service manual. They have a deep understanding of fine dining and the wine program at db Bistro Moderne. The Sommelier will require excellent people skills, dedication, an inexhaustible love of wine, food, and service, as well as a quick ability to "read" the guest. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of fine dining experience.
