Inspired by its original design — The French Room has been thoughtfully restored and is currently pursuing an experienced Sommelier to join the team. Led by chef Michael Ehlert, The French Room’s menu draws on French culinary traditions and methodology with a fresh sensibility, including thoughtful table-side flourishes and a comprehensive wine program. We are looking for teammates to create warm, thoughtful and memorable experiences.
The Sommelier is responsible for building and maintaining a wine list that achieves the vision set forth by leadership, conducting initial and on-going wine training, and directing and supporting the team during service. They will possess a deep understanding of our culinary and beverage program at French Room and be able to guide guests and staff relative to selections and pairings.
The Sommelier will require excellent people skills, dedication, an inexhaustible love of wine, food, and service, as well as a quick ability to "read" the guest. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of fine-dining experience.
