The Sandlot has opened at Harbor Point! A wholly new experience from the team behind Woodberry Kitchen and James Beard Award-winning chef Spike Gjerde's family of restaurants.
Sourcing entirely from the fields and waters of the Mid-Atlantic, the Sandlot presents local cuisine and regionally-inspired cocktails, farm beers and more. A unique location on the Inner Harbor, Harbor Point provides a beautiful views and space for eating, drinks, games, and great company.
We are looking for a chef! If you have the following skills, persona, and interest in supporting the growers of the Chesapeake region, we would love to talk to you.
At the Sandlot, we are cooking outside in a shipping container and on a wood-fired rotisserie while utilizing ingredients sourced from growers of the Chesapeake. We are doing high quality and very high volume. Our Chef is tasked with preparing and executing meals with the highest level technical skills and care for ingredients, in addition to managing staff, ordering, facilities, and more. Our ideal candidate not only has the technical skills to produce meals that knock it out of the park, but can also operate with a variety of local meats and produce as well as cooking with an open flame.
Technical skills and experience are wonderful, and having an understanding and passion for making a direct impact on the agriculture and restaurant landscape in Baltimore would be highly valued as well.
