Lonesome Dove Western Bistro in Austin has an opening for a CMS certified sommelier with at least 3 years of experience in a high volume fine dining restaurant.
Must be an experienced, trained, and knowledgeable wine professional who specializes in all facets of wine service. Principal work is in the area of wine procurement, storage, and wine cellar rotation. You will be responsible for the development of wine lists and are responsible overall for the delivery of wine service and training for the other restaurant staff. Working along with the culinary team, you must be able to pair and suggest wines that will best complement each particular food menu item. Must also work on the floor of the restaurant and be in direct contact with restaurant patrons.
