Server - Fine Dining (Sommelier and Chef Jobs: Hotels)

The server position requires strong communication skills, an ability to juggle several tasks and the willingness and ability to complete paperwork. The server is responsible for an in depth knowledge of all food and beverages offered by the hotel and an adherence to the service sequence as outlined by management. The server must be enthusiastic about the position and maintain a positive attitude toward both the guest and other staff members of the hotel.

Providing the highest levels of professionalism and enthusiasm toward guests, and co-workers
Consistent adherence to policies and procedures of The Biltmore as outlined in manuals and other training materials.
Assist co-workers in the performance of their responsibilities when necessary.
Maintenance of the highest levels of sanitation and safety in the workplace.
Knowledge of the use, care, and safe operation of equipment and small wares.
Knowledge of location and requisitioning of all necessary products and supplies.
Knowledge of bar and dining area seating charts.
Completion of all assigned opening tasks pertinent to the server position.
Complete familiarity with liquor and wine selection, pricing and preparation.
Complete familiarity with all menu item preparations and presentation.
Knowledge of and adherence to proper I.D procedures.
Adherence to service standards as outlined in manuals.
Daily reconciliation of sales and credit information.
Completion of all assigned closing tasks pertinent to the server position.
Declaration of earned gratuities in accordance with current governmental requirements.

Requirements:

• 3 years prior fine dinning serving experience
• Full-service restaurant
• Must have good communication skills
• Superior guest service abilities as well as the ability to lift up to 25lbs
• Pull and push moderate weight
