Overview of Responsibilities: Being a manager at Finger Lakes Premier Properties, Inc. 200+ privately owned vacation homes isn't like running just any other lodging enterprise, it's not like running a hotel and it's not like being a property manager of vacation condos or time shares. Our team is tasked with operational challenges faced by few others in the hospitality industry. The operational coordination of lodging accommodations that possess unique characteristics, rented yearly with pronounced seasonal swings, are located over large geographical distances on multiple lakes and are each privately owned. Our work affords us an opportunity to live in a rural paradise. We're out on the lakes, out in the properties and out with our staff. Your prior hospitality management success enables you to partner with your team and the property owners that count on us to protect their properties and provide guests with memorable vacation experiences. The Director of Resort Property Services will be responsible to develop and manage budgets including responsibility for the property P&L that will be encompasses employees, supplies & materials while establishing positive financial results. Responsible for oversight, hiring, training, coaching and seasonal lay-off of over 80+ seasonal staff.

KEY TASKS and RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Recruit, manage, train, develop and evaluate performance of a highly effective team of property services staff, to ensure guest, owner and employee satisfaction. Training to include Customer Service Training,Safety, Departmental Policies and Procedures, and job functionality.
•Coordinates with the Director and Human Resources, necessary training programs.
•Responsible for knowing all functions of the Property Services Department.
•Create a positive work environment by maintaining the highest level of ethics and integrity consistent with company's values.
•Ensure administrative functions and duties are assigned and completed according to FLPP's standards.
•Ensure Property Services staff performs proper customer relationship management procedures and communicates with owners, guests and each other effectively.
•Exhibit leadership in guest, homeowner and public relations to maximize opportunities.
•Initiate and implement Resort Management Strategic Tactics as introduced as well as new programs to enhance guest satisfaction.
•Work well with department managers and contractors to include the business department, front desk, Owner Services, Real Estate Sales etc.
•Ability to execute and develop on services and revenue sources.
•Interpret and explain budgets, plans and projects to key staff in company.
•Negotiate and review contracts and agreements with vendors, suppliers and subcontractors.
•Ensure the highest level of customer service to current and prospective owners, guests and staff in order to maintain a positive brand image and company reputation.
•Develop and implement quality control programs including oversight of inspectors, budgeting, dispatching, etc.
•Proactively develop and implement capital improvement plans in conjunction with Finger Lakes Premier Properties' Owner Services Department.
•Ensure workspace is clean and organized.
•Be on Manager-on-Demand (MOD) on-call rotation for Property Services Department
•Other responsibilities as outlined by management
JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Professional appearance and excellent communication skills in dealing with guests and corporate personnel.
• Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality and or Business field.
• 7 years work experience in a customer-focused, service industry overseeing operations and staffing of over 80+.
• Positive and upbeat attitude to ensure great work environment
• Proven ability to develop and motivate a team
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to provide and support a vision and direction
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule necessary to support a 24x7 hospitality industry. Required to Work Holidays and Weekends (both Days): Memorial Day to Labor Day each
• Ability to upon occasion lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to use standard computer equipment and programs including Microsoft Office 2007.
• Ability to use standard telecommunication equipment
Compensation: $45,000- $65,000.00 per year
Location of Position: Penn Yan, New York 14527, Travel will be required for this position
