Job Overview:  Tug Hill Vineyards is offering an excellent opportunity for an aspiring  viticulturist and/or winemaker.  This person will play an active roll in all aspects of  grape growing and wine production.

 

Essential Functions of the job:  Hands on involvement of the vineyard operation including pruning, tying, thinning, harvesting, and monitoring pests and diseases.

Assist winemaker in all facets of winemaking including monitoring and recording,  sampling and testing, performing bench trials, data collection, cleanup and sanitation.

 

Qualifications:  Two years of enology and/ or viticulture preferred  but not necessary.

     *Able to prioritize, meet deadlines with accuracy and work with minimal supervision.

     *Must possess excellent verbal and communication skills

 

Other notes: Housing can be arranged.

Also may work extra hours at the facility bartending at weddings and other special events.
